The Marine Aquaculture Station (Estação Marinha de Aquacultura – EMA) at FURG is offering two places for students who want to follow the IMTA research at its facilities. Since most of the aquaculture cycle is during austral summer, the course will happen between January-March or February-April 2022 (3 months). IMTA with bioflocs (BFT system) involves farming multiple and complementary species from different levels in the food web. During the course, candidates will have the opportunity to learn and share their experiences with local students and mentors. If necessary, accommodation at EMA will be provided.

Prerequisite:

• Undergraduate or Post-graduate students in aquaculture or related areas

• English speaker

• Health insurance

• Indication letter
