The University of São Paulo’s School of Animal Science and Food Engineering (FZEA-USP) in Brazil announces the selection of 1 post-doctoral fellow. The candidate must have a doctoral degree obtained no more than 7 (seven) years ago; a background in environmental sciences with an interdisciplinary profile focused on humanities, emphasizing teaching and education; experience in research involving communities or human populations (also interdisciplinary); and consistent theoretical profile for quantitative/qualitative research, demonstrated by publications. Must be fluent in Portuguese, with at least intermediate English proficiency for scientific communication. Availability to spend extended periods in Pará state in the Brazilian Amazon, and also on the campuses of USP, in the state of São Paulo.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 9,318.90 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
