55th Annual Meeting of the Western Society of Malacologists (WSM) Pasadena City College, Pasadena, CA June 23rd – 26th, 2022

Dear mollusk enthusiasts,

We are proud to announce that the Western Society of Malacologists (WSM) will be holding its 55th annual meeting this June 23rd – 26th, 2022 at Pasadena City College in Pasadena, California.0

The meeting is planned to be in-person with masks and full vaccinations required. Students, researchers, and all mollusk enthusiasts are welcome. The annual meeting will include three special sessions on the following topics:

  • Fossil mollusks, a session to honor LouElla Saul (led by Lindsey Groves and Dick Squires)
  • Non-native mollusks in California/the west coast (led by Jann Vendetti), and
  • Molluscan conservation in the Anthropocene (led by Ken Hayes).

Abstracts for talks will be due on May 1. All topics in malacology are welcome.

Registration information and more details will be posted soon at http://westernsocietymalacology.org/.The Western Society of Malacologists (WSM) was established in 1968 as a society for the furtherance of research in Malacology. The membership consists of professionals, amateurs, and students. The WSM holds an annual meeting.
