April 5-7 will be the Safe Ocean Laboratory of the UN Ocean Science Decade for Sustainable Development.
The Core Event will be on TUESDAY, April 5 from 4-7 PM AST/3-6 PM Colombia (20:00-23:00 UTC). See attached agenda – for panels on Unexpected Events (HIghlighting Tonga Eruption and Tsunami), Integration of Coastal Multihazard Warning Systems in the Caribbean and Environmental Justice and Right with a focus on Traditional Knowledge. Translation will be available in English, Spanish and French.
In between there are @ 20 Satellite events covering all ocean hazards and technologies. Some require sign up.
The event will close with a wrap up session on Thursday, April 7 from from 4-6:30 PM AST/3-5:30 PM Colombia (20:00-21:30 UTC) – which will focus a little more on the Southwest Pacific.
