Awards range from £500 – £20,000
- Our Small & Large Research Grants support our members with research where there are limited funding alternatives. Small projects can be awarded up to £5,000 and early career ecologists can apply for funding up to £20,000.
- We recognise that ecologists in Africa face unique challenges in carrying out research, therefore our Ecologists in Africa Grant provides up to £10,000 support to carry out innovative research.
- Our Outreach Grants of up to £2,000 encourage our members to promote and engage the public with ecology.
- Our Training and Travel Grants support the training and development of students and postgraduate research assistants. Grants of up to £500 are available to BES members. Applicants can now use these grants to attend a virtual conference/course, to cover registration fees up to £250.
